(More customer reviews)I purchased both this Shea butter and raw cocoa butter at the same time to compare them. The cocoa butter was so much better that I didn't even use the Shea butter.
The texture of this raw Shea butter is sticky and slightly rubbery. It's hard to wash it off, and left my hands feeling sticky afterward. It also had a rather unpleasant (to me) odor. Shea butter may be fine when processed and used in soaps or skin lotion, but I'd pass on this product and get cocoa butter instead, which melts in your hands and is great for dry skin. I like raw cocoa butter's scent, too: it has just the slightest aroma of chocolate. Refined cocoa butter has no odor, however, if that's your preference.

The Ivory Shea butter is Raw and unrefined, very clean, the Cocoa butter is cold pressed Cocoa butter. Both butters combined would make a luxurious body butter that heals scars, moisturizes the skin and repairs damaged skin.
