I can't say if it decreased the scar but I think it healed it faster and definitely helped with the itching. The greatest and unexpected benefit has been using it as a lip moisturizer! I lean toward organic and natural remedies and this stuff is awesome for chapped lips. I use it every night before bed. One bottle has lasted me 3 years. It's also great for chapped noses after a cold or to nourish your eyelashes and eye area at night. Put it on scrapes or cuts to heal them faster and minimize scarring. This excellent product made of pure vitamin e (tocopheryl acetate only)is safe and ultra moisturizing. I am now buying multiple bottles for multiple uses.
